• Regaining Balance

“Regaining Balance for Parents” is a six-week class that is designed to help separating and divorcing families. It offers stress reduction information and techniques to develop skills for dealing with stress reactions that may affect a participant's level of reactivity. When able to regain perspective, parents are better able to empathize and support their children during a divorce.

• Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

Mindfulness is the process of bringing one's kind attention to the internal and external experience of the present moment. This is developed through the practice of meditation and other training. Mindfulness has been proven to be effective in reducing stress and allowing you to regain a sense of perspective and well being.

This is an eight-week class that is based on the model taught at the University of Massachusetts by Jon Kabat-Zinn. The techniques are easy to learn in a supportive group environment where students are highly motivated to lead a more balanced and harmonious life.
